Back to my roots

Every now and then its nice to get away from the computer and go back to drawing by hand... even if its going to be scanned into the computer later :-)

I wish I bruised in Pantone

I try to avoid posting pictures of my bruises because I know how much it grosses my grandparents out, but this is too entertaining to keep to myself!

Prettier than my bruises

I was at Carter's twice today... the first time to see the girls playing outside and being cute, the second to get ice for my bruises post-hockey game. Yeah, its really nice living so close!

Third time better be a charm!

Yes. It fell out again. I really can't think about going to the dentist for a fourth day in a row, so it better stay put!

Attempt # 2

My tooth fell out again this morning, so I was back at the dentist tonight. It looks like the catalyst in the cement they used yesterday didn't work, so it never hardened. This time we tested the cement BEFORE gluing my tooth, so hopefully it bonds and stays in place!

Back where it belongs

On Saturday one of my fake teeth fell out while I was eating lunch (luckily I didn't swallow it!) and today the dentist glued it back into place. Never a dull moment for my mouth!

I am in love with Team USA's new* soccer jerseys! I wore it this morning while I played goalie (not my usual position) and we actually won! I attribute it to looking awesome in my jersey... (and perhaps distracting the other team by looking like Waldo?)

*The new design was announced in April but they didn't start playing in them until their game against Scotland over Memorial Day.

Lovely day for a long bike ride

The tornado-storms from yesterday made today a breezy, sunny day (that wasn't oppressively hot!) and I decided to explore the bike path near my house. It was beautiful and scenic and very well done- lots of underpasses to avoid having to cross major roads, nicely paved and full of other bikers and runners.

My exploratory ride lasted just under two hours and the workout made up for the fact that I slept through my gym plans this morning. All in all, a successful afternoon!
