Holy cow! It's really happening!

Megan and I put an awesome project up on kickstarter and it went live tonight! We have spent the last couple of months planning, writing, filming, editing, and getting all of our ducks in a row. Now it is in the hands of the public and we just have to hope we get the funding! (Remember all of those strange photos with little to no explanation? Yeah, they were probably during out filming, but check out the video from the link to confirm).

For those of you who aren't familiar with kickstarter, here are the key things to know:
- crowd-source funding for projects and inventions with donation levels starting as low as $1
- all projects must have a tangible reward that the backer receives
- funding is all or nothing... if you don't meet your goal, you get nothing and no one gets charged
- payments are handled through Amazon so most people already have the info saved on their computer

We think this project is a really cool and unique idea and hope you will support it- check out our kickstarter page to learn more! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/589296080/destination-inspiration (there is a video for us visual folk and a written description for those who prefer to read, although we recommend doing both!)

More posts to follow.

  1. I came here after looking at your project on KickStarter. You two are well on your way to getting your funding. I'm planning to back the project but first I want to think of the word that inspires me :). Best of luck with getting your funding!

P.S. Too bad you're not passing through the Charleston, SC area.

  2. It's great to hear you like our project! Don't worry about deciding on your word before pledging...we actually can't collect any info (including your word) until after the project closes, and that is assuming we get the funding. So if you decide to back it now, you'll still have a month to think of your word!

Sadly we won't be going through Charleston on this trip, but we hope to have you with us vicariously!
