Found a smiley face in my silly putty today... clearly a good omen!

365, The End of the Fruit Box

Today was my last day at the Fruit Box, and bittersweet is the only word I can think of to describe it. I am very excited to be moving on and have a job in the field that I love so much, but it is hard to leave something so comfortable. I have met so many amazing and wonderful people, and I love seeing my closest friends on a daily basis. And working right next to your very best friend is something special too! As I was getting ready to go, I got this giant card where Rob had some fun and added my face. The whole store signed it, including people who work the night shift and I don't get to see very often. Then, in Fruit Box tradition, the whole store gathered on the floor and clapped and cheered as I left. Some people even came in on their day off or stuck around an extra hour just to be there for it! I truly felt the love of my store, which is why it is so sad and hard to leave. I am pretty bad at keeping in touch with people, but I HAVE to make this work, as there are too many good friends to lose. Thank you, PCity!

365, The End of Robily

Today Rob and I worked our final shift together, and thus Robily's time has come to an end. It was amazing while it lasted and I wouldn't trade that time for anything. Thanks Princess Peaches!

Rob and I decided this photo is almost barf worthy. If we ever got engaged, I'm pretty sure we would use this picture. Disgusting and amazing.

365, Sunrise

Fashionista

I stopped by my parents the other day and Ingrid and Liesl were there... Guess who picked out Ingrid's clothes!

Carter's Delayed Birthday Post

Things have been a bit crazy, so I haven't been as good at posting photos other than my 365 lately. Here are some pictures from Carter's birthday. And Ingrid still hates hearing happy birthday, in case anyone was wondering.

365, Rachel is Amazing

Today was an amazing day in the cleaning and organizing world! Rachel Strisik (http://www.rachel-lifestylist.com/) came over for the first organizing session at the Clubhouse. I have never worked with an organizer before, and let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing! We did a brief walk-through of the house discussing problem areas, possible changes, etc, and then focused the rest of the time on the kitchen. All of the Clubhouse members were active participants as we followed Rachel's lead. Today's 365 photo is of the mountain of trash that was discovered during our cleaning... we had no idea we had so much trash hogging space in our kitchen and cabinets! Not included in the photo is a few other bags of stuff to donate or return to our parents house. The time flew by, and being in our kitchen already feels better!

Rachel- you are a miracle worker!

365, Under the Lights

A few people from my outdoor team got together tonight and played soccer for a bit. It was weird to realize that I haven't played a sport under the lights since high school, which was six years ago! I always loved playing under the lights, and while it was a bit different tonight, it was still fun!

365, Proof that I Play Hockey

This is more of a proud battle wound than anything else, although it isn't exactly comfortable. The big one is from a ball, the smaller one from a stick. Don't worry though, I didn't stop playing!

365, Colorful Bruise

This is what it looks like when you get nailed with a hockey ball. Since the photo was taken about an hour after the game, it hasn't fully ripened and I'm sure the best colors are yet to come. Since it isn't on a joint it isn't too painful, well, unless my elbow hits it as I'm sitting cross-legged. My Mom used to call me a bruised banana when I was a kid, so maybe this is me returning to my roots?

365, Outdoor Soccer Begins

We had our first outdoor soccer game today, and I think I may not be able to move tomorrow... in outdoor, you play on a football field and play 40 or 45 minute HALVES. In comparison, during indoor we played on something about the size of a basketball court and the ENTIRE GAME is 40 minutes. Today was fun, but exhausting, especially because we didn't have any subs. On a good note, my new inhalers seem to be working and my lungs didn't give out on me! Yay!

Three Ring Circus

I was over at Carter and Jon's the other night, and holy cow, it was a three-ring circus! I was chatting with Carter while she was feeding Liesl and Jon was trying to do the comcast upgrade... After a bit, we realized that we hadn't seen or heard Ing lately, which is never a good sign. I went to investigate and found her in her room trying to put on a bathing suit. It was clear convincing her otherwise was not going to be successful, so I gave in and at least helped her get her arms in the right holes.

How does she know how to pose like that?!

Carter feeding Liesl. Phone ringing. Ingrid in a bathing suit and playing with her "Abby" dress. And then, to top it off, the doorbell rang. My head was spinning, but somehow, Carter was able to hold it all together!

Me and Liesl

Little Wiesl and I inadvertently matched 2 days in a row... Don't have to twist my arm to get a picture of us together!

365, Lola

There are some friends that you can go months without seeing, and then pick up immediately where you left off... Lindsay is one of those friends, and I had a great time catching up with her tonight (and Lola and Muppet, and briefly Whitney). Thanks Linds!

365, Mandatory Caffeine

Some days, caffeine is not optional. Generally those days are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Today was not an exception.

A Few More

Rob and I love (and possibly are obsessed with) Robily. Neither of us find ourselves to be fascinating alone, but when you put us together, we are amazing. Todays wardrobe choice got mixed reviews and LOTS of doubletakes, and maybe even a few headaches. Some people thought we were adorable (which we were), while others insisted that we need help and make them want to vomit. Either way, we enjoyed it!

365, Productivity

Giant bag of clothes I cleaned out of my dressers today... Also vacuumed the house, cloroxed the bathroom, did my laundry, and cleaned my room. Pretty productive for a Sunday!

Not Possible

Interesting factoid I stumbled upon... when playing a dvd on the computer, it is not possible to take a screen shot of the movie. It makes sense, but it is not something I had ever thought of before. The reason this came about it because there was a really cool shot of a skier on a mountain, and I wanted to remember it. I guess we will have to rely on my brain for the mental screen shot.. (scary!)

Rainbow Cake

Abby made a rainbow cake with Alex (the girl) and Izzy while I was at work, and it was delicious! Also, walking into a house that smells like cake after a long day at work is never a bad thing.

365, Passionfruit Lemonade

I was introduced to a new Starbucks drink today... sweetened passionfruit lemonade (at least I'm pretty sure that's the name). It is like an Arnold Palmer, but fruiter. I don't usually like passionfruit, but I'm telling you, this is delicious! I didn't even get the drink, but Lauren let me have a sip of hers to experience its amazing-ness. Imagine how much I would have to say if I drank the whole thing!

365, The Official Photo

And now, for the official photo of the day... I had a quick visit with the girls today, and I was pleased to see Ingrid playing paparazzi like me! As you can tell, she is documenting a diaper change... perhaps trying to find beauty in the everyday occurrences, or (more likely) just being a 2 year old who adores her baby sister!

There Can Only Be One (Photo of the Day)

This is day 68 of Project 365, my attempt at posting one photo each day for an entire year. I have some rules for 365, so be enlightened:

- photo must be taken on the day it is uploaded / posted
- photo must be taken with my iPhone
- there can only be ONE official photo of the day

I use an app (typically Camera+) to make minor edits and crop the photos, and I usually adjust a couple before determining the official photo. Some days I struggle to find a decent photo, but today, I have more than one that I would consider POTD-worthy. These are some photos from today, but not THE photo of the day.

Look at those blue eyes!

My indoor soccer team played in the division championship tonight, and we won!

Our game was at The Bubble, which is SO much better than the gym.

365, Robily goes Lavender

My nails matched Rob's shirt. Or Rob's nails matched my shirt... hard to tell.

365, Dreary Day

My bright orange walls looked pretty cool reflecting on the window with the sunset, but man, what a gross day!

New Website

Well folks, my new website is almost up to my standards and complete... If you have a second, check out cecilykidd.com and shoot me an email with any feedback!

365, Do It.

Shopping Adventure

Abby and I went on a spur-of-the-moment shopping adventure tonight. We bought more than our wallets would have liked, but there is something to be said for retail therapy!

Abby with our many, many bags.

Apronology? Who knew there was a niche market for this?!
